Today, in the wake of the global fiscal crisis of 2008-2009 and faced with rising fuel prices, many USA manufacturers are moving their operations back to the USA, in order to capitalize on cheaper shipping costs and a massive pool of skilled laborers. According to a recent AMR Research survey of manufacturing executives, 21% plan to increase their manufacturing activities in the USA in 2010. Last June, American construction and mining equipment giant Caterpillar announced the company plans to invest $1 billion in a “multiyear capacity expansion plan” for five plants in Illinois. USA suppliers and American distributors are thrilled by the news, as many of their core products will once again be “Made in America”.

BusinessGlobal.com is hosting a virtual American expo, the USA Exports Show 2010. Live for the entire month of June, the USA Exports Show 2010 is an international trade fair designed to bring American exporters, particularly SMEs, to an international audience of motivated buyers .

Soon after World War II, USA manufacturers comprised the most important sector of the world’s largest economy. The market for American distributors, both domestically and internationally, grew exponentially following the War, as USA manufacturers produced a massive amount of quality goods for an exploding consumer market at home and abroad.

Beginning in the 1980s, however, many American manufacturers, seeking better economies of scale, moved their operations offshore – this includes Mexico, where many companies established manufacturing operations following the passage of NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, on 1 January 1994.

USA manufacturers enjoy a global market that is already deeply saturated by their products. Manufacturers from the USA often establish relationships with manufacturers from other countries who supply them with parts, products, tools, machinery for their own businesses demonstrating a true international trade relationship.

Manufacturers produce everything from foodstuffs to technological advancements, and some USA manufacturers have now branched into the markets of solar power and wind turbine manufacturing and distribution, while some remain in their niche categories such as digital, computer technology and textiles. People who manufacture use machinery, tools and in all cases labor to create something for sale or use, that is then distributed internally within one’s country or internationally through an industry market.

As an example USA manufacturers deal with suppliers in India who provide them with tools, labor, machinery, or prefabricated parts for machines, automobiles depending on the industry both parties are involved in. These types of relationships are generally long standing and permanent, so long as both manufacturers, American and Indian, remain working at a high business volume. Generally this is not too difficult to achieve as the majority of industry manufacturers collaborate through exhibitions, expos, trade shows to building strong business relationships based on product need and consumption. India exporters and suppliers provide not only USA manufacturers but others throughout the world, with their fabulous and reliable products.

A list of USA manufacturers from any industry can be found quite easily by using general searches, and it is obvious that the global market is truly saturated with American manufactured goods. What many people do not realize is that these American made products contain Indian manufactured parts that have been supplied to USA distributors before their products hit the global or national markets.

The outsourcing of labor, machinery, tools, parts and products is not uncommon for USA manufacturers, and it is beneficial that due to its large landmass and population India is able to provide these manufacturers with Indian supplied/manufactured products.
